The club took part in all independent top divsion championships.
The best result for Brest players came in the first season of the independent Belarusian championship. «Dinamo» with Yuri Kurnenin as Head Coach won the bronze medals. In the next seasons the club could only get close to the mentioned result and finished the season fifth (2008, 2009). In 2007 the «white-blues» beat BATE in the cup final (but unfortuantelly the European club tournaments didnt turn out to be a success: in the first round «Dinamo-Brest» lost to «Metallurg» from Liepaja). In the summer of 2016 the club got a seriours sponsor, which allowed to win back to back Belarusian cups (2016/2017, 2017/2018) and three Supercups (2018, 2019, 2020) and finish the championship fourth in 2017. In the 2019 season, the team from the city over the Bug river ended the dominance of the BATE Borisov and won the championship of Belarus for the first time.
